All 4 expert reviews are hands-on, and they broadly agree the E8 makes standout coffee for a super-automatic, with two calling it the best-tasting they have tried. Owners largely echo this: of 459 owner comments, 50% praise shot quality and 40% call it easy to use, while 2,115 of 2,588 star ratings are five stars. The weak spots are value and durability: 7% of owner comments describe a machine that broke or died, 5% complain about customer support, and retailer ratings (3.84 stars from 69 reviews) sit well below the Google listing (4.52 from 8,289). Expert coverage is thin at only 4 sources (3 with published scores), so overall confidence is medium.

The no-fluff verdict

This is a press-a-button coffee machine that grinds, brews and froths for you, then mostly cleans itself. Its biggest strength is rich, full-bodied espresso with very little effort, plus foamy cappuccinos. The catch is the high price and ongoing upkeep, and the milk froth can't be fine-tuned, so it suits busy coffee lovers more than hands-on espresso hobbyists.

Questions people actually ask

How do you descale the Jura E8?

The machine does most of it for you. It has a built-in descaling cycle that prompts you when it's due and walks you through each step.

Based on: All four hands-on reviewers note automated, guided cleaning and descaling cycles.

How do you decalcify the Jura E8?

Run its automatic descaling program when the screen asks. Keeping a water filter fitted also helps cut down on mineral buildup.

Based on: Reviewers cite automated descaling; ongoing costs list Clearyl water filter replacements.

How do you clean the Jura E8?

Mostly by following its prompts. It rinses itself, and you drop in a cleaning tablet when it asks, but the brewing unit doesn't come out for hand cleaning.

Based on: Reviewers praise self-rinsing and tablet cycles; one notes the brew unit isn't removable.

How do you clean the milk system on the Jura E8?

Clean it daily if you make milk drinks, and replace the milk tube regularly. The tube can't be scrubbed inside, so swapping it is part of normal upkeep.

Based on: Two reviewers flag daily milk cleaning and regular milk pipe replacement.

How do you make espresso with the Jura E8?

Pick espresso on the dial and press a button. It grinds and brews automatically, and you can adjust strength and cup size, or use the side chute for pre-ground or decaf coffee.

Based on: Reviewers describe one-touch drinks, adjustable intensity and volume, and a bypass chute.
