How it works

When you click certain links on our pages, such as "Check price on Amazon", and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. The price you pay is the same.

What it never affects

• Scores, rankings and verdicts. Products are scored by our published method whether or not we earn anything from them, and a product we can't earn from can still rank first.
• Which products we cover. We choose what to cover by what people search for and what's on the market.
• What we write. Retailers and brands never see or approve our verdicts.

What we don't do

• No paid placements or sponsored rankings.
• No free products in exchange for coverage.
• No pay-to-play "best of" lists.
